Festival Plein la Bobine

Musical creation of the 2010 festival clip

This original musical creation was made following a video workshop and a frame by frame animation clip produced by the pupils of the primary school of St Nectaire (63), whose aim was to create the credits of the young audience festival.

The "Un Air de Pixel" team asked Stefan Colomb to create the sound and music package for the project. This time, the work was done without the children. Their idea was based on the construction of a recipe: how do you make a sure-fire success? First, Stefan had to create a collection of original sound effects, bringing to life a chocolate bar and its inhabitants, an egg diving into a bowl like an Olympic athlete. All in all, a most original and exciting piece of work! A voice-over recorded by a child measures the ingredients according to "grandma's" recipe. The musical theme used must be discreet enough to be part of the image and not an overlay, so Stefan uses the wood of the "balafon" to build the recipe, the "pizzicatos" of violins to tell the story, and an electric piano for the playful side. Finally, the finished project will be shown on a large screen in a cinema, for the opening of the festival and at the start of each screening.
