It all started virtually, with telephone exchanges, and the coordination began. From the first exchange, from the first words, the magic worked. Stefan tapped into the depths of my musical soul to extract its quintessence. With his sensitivity, experience and professional approach, he constructed the pieces as if in a timeless kitchen. He added the right spices, eliminated the "too much" and magnified the "too little", sprinkling in a few magic potions to make a perfect blend and restore the spirit of my Blues cocktail. My 30 years on stage have been in good hands, and the result lives up to my expectations. A complicity that then materialized in a human encounter that ended up strengthening frank, honest musical ties and that will, I'm sure, give birth to other projects. Music is a universal language. And once again, it's Crossroads, this crossroads of encounters, inseparable from my musical adventure, that has enabled this beautiful, sincere and constructive connection.

Where I come from, not everyone has a ten-franc coin in their pocket, the land is rich and fertile, but the poor people under the civil war see their close friends leave, and very soon the kids become independent. At an early age, I always wanted to go out and meet the young and old in my neighborhood and on the streets of Brazzaville. I adapt easily in a team or solo, with a competitive spirit that hesitates to take risks and develop my art, a true enthusiast of my culture. Born into a very devout Christian family, it wasn't easy for a child prodigy, but very early on Sami was validated by professionals and highly respected. I've done a string of performances, shows and concerts all over the world. A versatile artist interested in other cultures to develop his musical ear, in short...! It took me 8,000 kilometers to meet a wonderful person to make the story even more wonderful Stefan Colomb, we met in 2004, I had just landed in France, I wanted to make a RAP project, but it did not see the day and in the wake, I had motivated Roland Martial Youlou the founder of the group Biem'bart that I had integrated to record an album and the results were more than perfect. Since then, Stefan Colomb and I have remained close in our work. In the studio, from my very first notes, he already knew where I wanted to go. Our close relationship made everything easier during the recording sessions. He's my magician, my guru. As for the good people today, I'd say I'm blessed to have come across him, I'm very happy to have met him. With him I write beautiful stories of my artistic career. Thank you Pif.

Some encounters are not trivial!!! Annwyn and I had recorded ten songs in 2020, not a very erotic year... Through a succession of encounters, we entrusted the mixes to Stefan! Was it love at first sight? We were immediately captivated by his work, so much so that he brought that little extra soul that makes all the difference... They say that behind every good band there's a producer... there's no doubt about it! Thank you, my friend, for your commitment and your talent!

I met Stefan Colomb in Vichy, through Sama, a mutual friend. I was making a film about him, so he told me about Stefan. We soon made an appointment to meet at the Cocoon Café, a landmark in the town of Vichy. I went to the café with the idea of meeting a technician who would talk to me about technique and budget, but I met a man in his entirety. A warm, sensitive, intelligent, friendly man who invited me to his studio to move on to the second stage. In his fiefdom, he invited me to take part in his work session with CAVILAM students. We then moved on to viewing the rushes, and Stef immediately showed great interest in my images. Which was a huge comfort for me, because he was the first professional to see the images I'd taken myself, even though I'm not a professional cameraman. And Stef came up with a very affordable budget, while also telling me that he would be personally involved in finding the money, especially from the Vichy commune. The film on Sama has still not been edited, as fate would have it. Just after our meeting, I left for Lausanne to take up an invitation for a writing residency. In the meantime, the health crisis arrived and the borders were closed. I took up my camera to talk about myself, the health crisis and the city of Lausanne. With the help of the zooscope collective, I edited the film. Then came the question of mixing the sound. Without hesitation, I suggested Stef. And that's when I discovered his artistic sensibility and intellectual dimension. From then on, we got into the habit of calling or texting each other to check up on each other and discuss all sorts of subjects. At the moment, we're still working on editing the film about Sama, but we also have other projects on the go, notably the screening in Vichy of "Lettre à Jean Luc Godard", the film he edited. To work with Stefan Colomb is to benefit from a package - artistic sensitivity - technical efficiency - human support.

I met Stefan in 2019, I was looking for a testimony from a professional in my capacity as a law teacher at the University of Clermont Auvergne. As I have to deal with the particular regime of intermittence in the framework of my teaching to audiovisual technicians, I thought it would be precious to have a "real intermittent of the show" who is experienced and capable of explaining to young people who are still in training the contours of this regime, which is often criticized and not well known. I found Stefan to be a valuable collaborator, as he spoke to three successive classes in an extremely relevant manner. The students really appreciate being able to question a real professional who is capable of taking a step back from their situation and presenting them with objectivity the advantages of this system as well as its constraints. A professional who speaks brilliantly and passionately about his profession, his career and his hopes for the years to come.

Having worked with Stefan Colomb for nearly two years on the film Un pas vers vous in Allier, his professionalism, sensitivity and artistic eye immediately appealed to me. And it is quite naturally that in the context of my work as Coordinator of the Centre d'Informations sur les Droits des Femmes et des Familles de l'Allier, I proposed to him to participate in the video project "Métiers d'Egale à Egal" (Equal to Equal) for the capturing of images, the interviewing of professionals and the production of a documentary. Stefan, through his investment, his availability, his ability to listen and his capacity to adapt to the expectations of the people who work with him, has created a great work and I thank him for it.

Working with Stefan means putting people and professionalism at the heart of my project. Professionalism first and foremost, because his vision and high standards have enabled me to go further, both in terms of my songs (interpretations, arrangements) and in the way I communicate when my album is released. Letting go, questioning yourself, his guidance is there to serve the project to the best of his ability: Stefan is just as committed as the artist! It is always a pleasure to meet Stefan again to work on new projects. He is very professional and knows perfectly well what my musical needs and desires are! He is a talented producer. Moreover, #studio36 is a nice, inspiring place where it's easy to feel at home.
